I started seeing Dawn about two years ago, February 2011 for some medical problems [including]: ankle pain, tinnitus, stress, and weight gain.

Medical Doctors had told me that I would have these pains for the rest of my adult life and to take pain medication for relief. One of these pains was ankle pain in both feet, due to breaking both of my ankles over a period of time. Dawn started my first treatments for the ankle pain and the tinnitus. On the first treatment, my ankle pain was gone in both ankles. She did a second treatment on my ankles and I have not had any more ankle pain at all for the last two years.

The tinnitus was in both of my ears and was very loud and annoying. I have a hearing loss in both and with the tinnitus, it was getting very difficult to visit with more than two friends in the room, because the tinnitus was so loud, I could not understand some of the conversations depending on how loud the tinnitus was. After about six visits or treatment with Dawn, the tinnitus was pretty much gone. From time to time, the tinnitus will come back in one of my ears and with another treatment from Dawn, it is gone.

Currently, Dawn is treating me for stress reduction and weight reduction and while we are making some progress, I am confident that Dawn will help with these problems. I have a very stressful job and with my weekly visits for acupuncture, it helps me coup with my stress levels from work.

Dawn is also working with me on my weight gain and again, this is project in process and I have not gained anymore weight and I have not lost any pounds either, but I am confident we will conquer this too. L.S.

I first came to G&L Acupuncture in 2005 for treatment of fatigue, leg swelling and stress. More recently I sought treatment for the general signs of aging on my face. Since starting acupuncture treatment I've noticed overall improvement in my health, better sleep and greater energy. The facial rejuvenation treatments I received recently have improved my skin tone, smoothed out my deepest wrinkles and tightened up my jaw line. My face looks more youthful and refreshed. K.G.

I just wanted to thank Dr. Liu for relieving my back pain. I had suffered for years, but was in a lot of pain after a fall last summer. Physical therapy and pain killers were not working. Finally, one doctor recommended acupuncture and Chinese massage. I was skeptical but thought it wouldn't hurt to try.

I started coming to G & L Acupuncture and Wellness Center in April, 2010. I had surgery for cancer and sought acupuncture treatment to support my immune system. I had also suffered personal loss in my life and wanted to address grief and emotional stress. I feel much healthier now and have a lot more energy. I also feel less sad and anxious. Ten years ago, I was in a car accident and suffered pain from whiplash. I used pain medications and physical therapy to recover from my injuries but had no success. A friend suggested acupuncture and to my amazement it worked! I went from being incapacitated and depressed to feeling alive and well. I came to G & L Acupuncture and Wellness Center 3 years ago. I have an obstructive lung condition called brochiectasis, which became complicated by a bacterial infection. I was initially treated by a pulmonary specialist and an infectious disease specialist. I had surgery resulting in the removal of 25% of my lungs. Afterward, I felt extremely run down and fatigued. None of the traditional medicines worked. I sought acupuncture treatment in order to rebuild my immune system and alleviate the ongoing fatigue. After receiving regular acupuncture treatments, I now feel much stronger. I am able to do many more activities than I used to, and I rarely get sick. S.H

Two years ago, I came to G & L Acupuncture because I had symptoms related to menopause including problems sleeping, constipation and hot flashes. I tried talking to my general physician about these issues, but I didn't receive much of a response. I didn't want to take hormones, so I tried acupuncture. I am now sleeping much better, and the constipation and hot flashes are almost completely gone! Some of my friends get their nails done at the salon to feel better, but I do acupuncture! M.F.

I met Dr. Lei Liu at a health fair at my work site in August, 2010. He saw me limping and came over to talk to me about my health problem. For 3 months, I had been experiencing lower back pain, along with numbness and electrical sensations in the back of my leg and knee. I could hardly walk when I got up in the morning, and I couldn't complete all of my job functions. Recreational activities were almost impossible. I was treated by a chiropractor and physical therapist with no success. Dr. Liu thought he might be able to help me with acupuncture. I was fortunate to receive some immediate results from the treatments. I could sleep on my side and I could walk better. With each visit I gained more ground, and eventually I could perform all of my job functions, take part in recreational activities, go on walks and sleep better. P.H.

I met the staff of G & L Acupuncture at a health fair in the summer of 2010. I had tingling and numbness in my hands, fingers and arms that had been worsening over the previous year. Eventually, my hands felt like they were constantly "asleep," and I was kept awake at night with pain radiating up both arms. I knew I needed to see a physician, but I dreaded the thought of surgery. Instead, I wanted to try acupuncture. After two months of acupuncture treatment, the pain is gone completely, and the tingling and numbness only occurs when I hold my hands and arms in a position that restricts blood circulation.
